  • What are the best alternatives after Bitcoin?

We are obviously sure that Bitcoin is the mother when it comes to Crypto Currencies, but what comes next? This is a really important question because Bitcoin is such a heavy weight that everything looks incredibly small in front of it, so what’s your view about the next best? I see definitely Litecoin, but even then you actually compare it with Bitcoin, it will be like comparing Monster with 2-3 years old kid, so such is the difference but I guess it’s the best alternative as per now.

Although, if you are just taking a look around, it’s very obvious that you are going to find plenty and I really mean plenty of Crypto Currencies available, but nearly 98% of them are pretty much zero value, so you can’t even put them into contention as far been alternative to Bitcoin goes while there is really no competitive to Bitcoin till today, it’s true that there are very similar and perhaps even better models out there, but still you can’t replace the Mother.

You got to be very honest that not much else looks promising when we talk about Crypto Currencies; it’s why you see day light gap between Bitcoins and all the counter parts. I don’t think that gap is ever going to get smaller let alone vanish. I will not invest at all rather than putting it on some unknown alternatives in just hope of miracle. The best alternative for me is Bitcoins itself at lower price.

Why we need alternative dude? Go for Bitcoin only…. I have 30 Bitcoin already! I want to get to 50 bitcoin before the years end, so never waste time on others instead go with this only and you will get great benefits and it’s something which will allow you to be making profits.

I invested in other coins, but most of the money is stuck since I don’t know when! I will strongly suggest people not to invest on unknown coins.

There is really hardly any alternative after Bitcoin or it’s something I don’t know about. I think there is not much you will talk about after you remove Bitcoin, it’s one man or force type of stuff and you are not really going to count anything else near to that level, at least I am not sure of it.

Do anyone here even knows names of Crypto Currencies apart from Bitcoin? I doubt most people don’t even know the names!

Ethereum is very good and popular, I also think you can throw in Litecoin like mentioned while there are few others that come as decent package minus Bitcoin.

However, it’s not really in the same league as you put Bitcoin on, so I will call them force alternatives instead of preferred ones and that’s simply because we don’t have any choice at all, so that’s why we have to go with these options if for anything.

If you go according to the rates then Jinn, Peerplays and Ethereum are amongst the top one but if you are talking about pure potential then I believe Primecoin is one of the best with huge potential but these are sort of stuff which you need to be brave in order to get it going and only then we will be able to see it working out accurately and will help us with getting everything right up.

Can I see the list you are talking about? I haven’t heard of Jinn or Peerplay at all and not even Primecoin, so I got now idea how you are putting it into best or popular category and I also love to know why you call it popular (high potential), I mean what are the logic for it?

I only know Ethereum which is obviously popular with a lot of demand in the market for it.

I think Ethereum is very popular, so if we are looking at any other option then it should be good.

I see the price is around $9-10 which is good if you want to invest something like 1-2k, but of course we must not be too greedy and get off even with $1-2 rise in the price or if we keep it too far then we could get into trouble and might get stuck as well.

I don’t think you can find any alternative to BItcoin because it’s just not possible for any other Digital Currency to match that, so I will definitely not put any alternative. If we want to try something else keep the thoughts of Bitcoin out of the mind because there is never anything near possible to that level, so that’s why we need to focus on things and don’t look at alternative and focus on the right lane.

To be fair, if I have to look for alternative after Bitcoin then I will just look different way not into Crypto Currency world. I don’t think anything is as good as Bitcoin is so I won’t really want to put much outside it.

However, it’s fair to say that there are not too many great options for investment out there, but that doesn’t mean you throw away your money. It’s better not to invest then to waste it on something not worthy at all.

I will not really look for alternative with Bitcoin because there are no good options present at all. So, it’s wise only that we go with option that we know or not go for it at all. I don’t like this do or die attitude, I believe there is always middle road to it and that’s what we are required to take in order to be at brighter side of things, so that’s why we need to make sure we do it accurately and don’t try anything out of ordinary.

Ether should be the number one alternative after Bitcoin, but there is forever changing time in Crypto Currencies world and that’s why we need to be sharp and keep on moving with our decision and mindset, if we get stuck with one point then we could struggle, so that’s why we need to be very wise and careful with how we go about doing everything in order to gain maximum profits from any of these.

Agreed! I too love Ether because it’s very low rates, so we can get into it easily and it’s certain that the popularity will take it on high in coming years, so it’s the best bet you can put on with. We just need to make sure we don’t put everything into one, it’s important to believe into divide scheme. If we are good into doing that then everything else is easily going to work out and is something that is going to bring rewards.

Yeah I agree with few here that Ethereum is a good alternative and fast catching up with Bitcoin and if it can keep the momentum then it might even overtake Bitcoin, even though at currency valuations it is nearly 100 times lesser than BTC. There are some other alternatives as well like litecoin.

Crypto currencies are fast expanding and it remains to be seen how far they are accepted by bigger establishments so that it really takes off in a big way!
